Camping de la plage : welcome to Normandy !

Whether you are travelling with a tent, a caravan or a motor home, at the Camping de la plage campsite you can spend your holiday in a natural and preserved environment, on the edge of one of Normandy’s most beautiful beaches. You can also hire a mobile home or hire a year-round camping location.

Camping de la plage campsite is located at Fermanville on the northern tip of the Cotentin peninsula, near a beautiful sandy beach and great sites for fishing on foot, by boat or scuba-diving, walks of cycle rides in a region full of charm, and rich with interesting things to discover. Near campsite, you can go and discover the lighthouse at Gatteville which dominates the tip of the Cotentin peninsula from the top of its 365 steps. Nearby you can also visit the oyster farms, the port of Barfleur, and Saint-Vaast la Hougue, named as one of the most beautiful villages in France. From here you can explore Tatihou island or otherwise take the ‘chemin des douaniers’ coastal path which will lead you all around the Cotentin coastline. You can go and taste the famous brioche sweetbread from the Vaast before going to Cherbourg where you can discover the Cité de la Mer maritime museum. You can then come back to rest on the sandy beaches, surrounded by nature, and leave your children to play safely under the supervision of life guards while you relax with your heads full of memories.
